BMW Reveals The New M3 CS 2018 Model

Having unveiled a special edition of the M3 in Las Vegas earlier this month, BMW has now unveiled its latest car from the 3 Series — the M3 CS. The vehicle, which builds on the M4 CS coupe, uses a newer engine — employing a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six that can reach up to 453 horsepower — while the power is transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. In addition, it hits 60mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 174 mph.

The exhaust system is an M Sport version, complete with stainless steel tips for improved airflow. The other point of difference is the weight — 110 pounds lighter than the standard M3 model, using carbon fibre reinforced plastic throughout the car. Elsewhere weight is saved with light-alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Pricing hasn’t been announced for the vehicle but there will only be 1,200 available worldwide, with 550 coming to the states. The BMW M3 CS will go on sale in Spring 2018. And, in other BMW news, here’s how you could own Steve Jobs’ old car.
