Statue of Fela unveiled in Lagos to celebrate his 79th posthumous birthday by Gov. Ambode

The Liberation statue of Nigeria’s Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti was unveiled yesterday Sunday October 15, 2017 at Allen Avenue Roundabout, Ikeja, on his 79th posthumous birthday.

The event was rapped up with a command live performance by Femi Kuti at the New Afrika Shrine, which the Governor and his team stopped over for. Here are the photos below;
