iCloud naked photo hacks - Danielle Lloyd becomes the latest victim

iCloud celeb hacks first gained notoriety in the US on August 31 2014, when a tranche of personal photos belonging to female Hollywood celebs were posted online.
In what became known as "the Fappening", the most notable victims included actors Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kaley Cuoco and Kirsten Dunst.
The snaps were stolen by web thieves who accessed Apple's iCloud — a storage platform which automatically backs up data on users' devices.
Investigations found that devious scams to get celebs to hand over passwords may have been used, as well as other targeted password attacks.
Hunger Games star Jen described the hack as a "sex crime", telling Vanity Fair: "Anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offence and you should cower with shame".
But fellow victim, model Emily Ratajkowski, said: "I'm not sure that anyone who Googles it is necessarily a criminal. I think the people who stole the photos are".
Apple responded by pledging to bolster iCloud security and an FBI investigation resulted in the March 2016 prosecution of Ryan Collins.
The 36-year-old from Lancaster, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty to a hacking charge and in October was sentenced to 12-months in prison.
In January 2016, Edward Majerczyk, 28, of Chicago, Illinois, was sentenced to nine months in prison for hacking an unnamed celeb.
British model Danielle Lloyd had photos leaked to an X-rated site

Who are the British victims?

Pregnant model Danielle Lloyd had nude photos posted on an X-rated site by hackers in August 2017.
The 33-year-old reported the leak of eight intimate photos to police.
A spokeswoman for the mum told The Sun's Bizarre column: "These images are from her private phone and are for private and personal usage only.
“Police are investigating how these images were taken from her private and personal iCloud.
“We are currently taking steps to prosecute anybody that shares these online.”
In six of the pictures Danielle is naked and in another one she is wearing a top with no bottoms.
One photo of Danielle shows her wearing a cut-out swimsuit and in another she's posing in the bath.
TV presenter Melanie Sykes, 47, had 23 intimate photos hacked and posted online in June 2017.
In three she is naked and in another five topless.
Soap stars have also been especially targeted by warped hackers.
Coronation Street's Kym Marsh, 41, Sally Lindsay, 44, and Catherine Tyldesley, 33, had photos posted on porn sites.

What are the celebs doing now?

Several stars are now planning to take legal action against the hackers.
A fake nude picture of X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, 39, also appeared on the sleazy website.
Real snaps of Nicole clothed were also used but came from her Instagram account.
She has now asked lawyers to get those removed from the site.
Meanwhile, one photo is of golf ace Tiger, 41, naked in a bathroom.
It is believed to have been swiped from the phone of Olympic skier Lindsey, 32, who he dated for two years.
Hackers also put up her racy images. The pair’s lawyers have now successfully removed the pictures but they vowed to find the culprits.
