It's no news that Jennifer Lopez hates being single and is a sucker for love.Lopez, 48, told Vanity Fair she made the first move at Alex Rodriguez. She was eating lunch in Beverly Hills last winter when she saw Rodriguez, 42, walk by and felt "compelled" to do something she normally wouldn't.
Because she was too shy to call his name, still dressed in full costume from her TV series "Shades of Blue" she tapped the ballplayer on the shoulder and said hello.
Rodriguez responded,
"You look so beautiful," which charmed Lopez enough to arrange a dinner a few nights later.

On their first date,Alex Rodriguez didn't even know they were on a date.
"Maybe we were seeing each other at night because of her work schedule. I went in uneasy, not knowing her situation," he told Vanity Fair "It would be incredibly productive for me to sit with one of the smartest, greatest women in the world, especially for a guy like me who is coming through tough times."
And so when Lopez informed him during their dinner that she was single, Rodriguez retreated to the restroom to "re-adjust" his thoughts.
"I went to the bathroom and got enough courage to send her a text," he recalled.
The text in question?
"It says, 'You look sexy AF,' " Lopez chimed in, before adding that right after he sent the message, the fire alarm went off and they were forced to evacuate.
"We are very much twins," Lopez told Vanity Fair about her beau. "We're both Leos; we're both from New York; we're both Latino and about 20 other things … I understand him in a way that I don't think anyone else could, and he understands me in a way that no one else ever could."
